Fragments of Time and Space

"The canvases in this series combine images from my photography archive recorded
at different times, in different places, of different subjects. Different images are
brought together and transferred to canvas and combined and with paint and other
media. The resulting canvas is a personal exploration of
fragments of time and space" - David Ewles

The canvases are made as individual pieces of original artwork and
vary in size from 24 x 30 inches to 32 x 40 inches and some
contain three dimensional objects such as
clock mechanisms, glass or rocks. Please email. me

David is currently represented in Sarasota, Florida by Elizabeth Rice Inc. Fine Art, Main Street,
Sarasota that contains works by Warhol, Miro and Picasso and specialises in
contemporary fine art.

His work has been on show at the Photographer's Gallery in London and he has won
several British Institute of Professional Photographers Gold Awards. He was awarded an Arts Council grant to
photograph landscape and his work has appeared in many publications throughout his career.

David graduated Creative Photography from the London College of Printing in 1975 and
became an Associate of the British Institute of Professional Photographers soon after. He has had exhibitions in Scotland
and at the Selby Library in Sarasota, Florida, called Different Worlds.

David lives and works from the historic village of Culross, near Dunfermline, the ancient
